I started my apprenticeship in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 19 as a 3rd generation painter. I have always told people "I get to do what I love everyday". I have worked in all aspects of the field, special coatings, commercial, industrial and custom. Before starting my own business I worked for one of the largest painting contractors in the United States. As foreman I had the opportunity to work on the Mandrian Oriental, San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge and Southwest Cheese Company, one of the largest manufacturer in the world. We ended up in Reno, NV where I had a part in the remodel of the Grand Sierra Resort and was awarded with “Job of the year” and the “5" star award. I am proud to say that with the training I received and drive to excel, it has taken our company to another level.
My philosophy: “We want to be known for exceptional results, work ethic, service, and knowledge. Our long-standing professional relationships and continuous growth are testimony that we’re doing just that.”
I am Marks wife and Managing Member of Nevada Commercial Coatings. I am responsible for all of the day-to-day operations of our awesome company working closely with my husband; supporting the overall company goals and vision. I have over 20 years in management working for various companies in the healthcare umbrella and a few others. I have been able to utilize my skills and abilities that I have learned over the years and incorporate them into our company. I love what we stand for and above all, our main goal is customer satisfaction and delivering a exceptional painting experience.
I have been in the construction industry for the last 45 years. I began as a laborer at the age of 15 years and by the time I was 22 years of age, I decided it was time to become a Licensed Contractor in the State of New Mexico as a Mason. At the age of 26, I took the General Contractor's test and was granted the license "GB-98" in the same state.
I have a degree in Architectural Drafting and Design.
Currently, I'm the head estimator for Nevada Commercial Coatings, with 3 estimators under my supervision. I'm here to serve the greater Northern Nevada State as a top Painting contractor.
Although it was my desire to be retired at my age but I can't stop working in the construction business. I feel a sense of obligation to be a quality participant in this industry, which is so satisfying for me.
Miguel Soto grew up in the Reno/Sparks area and graduated from Reno High School in ’05. He studied business administration at TMCC and has held multiple jobs in the hotel industry. While attending TMCC, he would often help his father price and perform estimates for his construction business and at times take on small projects on his own. He has since moved from the hotel industry and has been working for NVCC since 2014.
My name is James Minola. I have worked in and out of the construction industry for many years. Anyone that knows me, will tell you that I'm a jack of all trades. I pride myself with being self-taught and always find a challenge interesting. Previously before gaining employment with Nevada Commercial Coatings, I was a Engineer for "Lincoln Electric Cutting Systems". I would travel throughout the continental USA training Industrial, Commercial, and small shops who purchased one of our products; sometimes groups of up to 75 individuals. I have a passion for CNC automation and also own my own business as a hobby. The people here at Nevada Commercial Coatings are amazing to work with and the quality of work that they give to our customers, makes me proud to be part of their team.
